How To Create an Internet Marketing Sales Funnel in 5 Simple Steps
If you really want to make money online and get the most out of your marketing efforts, you need something called a sales funnel.
Ok great, but exactly what is a sales funnel and how does it work?
Well, read on as I reveal in today’s blog post a simple 5-step process…
Step Number 1. Create a Squeeze/landing Page Giving something Away.
Now I know this might sound insane, but the first step to creating your sales funnel and best way to build a list of prospects, is to give something away.
That’s right! You heard me, GIVE SOMETHING AWAY!
You see building a list of prospects allows you to create a database of contacts who you can send your offers (sales letters) to on a regular basis via email marketing and other advertising media.
To do this, you need to include a data capture form on either the homepage of your website or by creating a separate squeeze/landing page.
On here you simply give something away free, like an e-book, special report, newsletter subscription or email course, for example, in exchange for the prospect’s email address.

Step Number 2. Sales letter/Sales Page
The next step in the sales funnel creation process is to create the actual sales letter or sales page and this is where you sell your product or service and direct all of your prospects to.
There are a number of different marketing methods you can use to send people to your sales page (Check This Out For More Details) but for today’s blog post I’m only going to briefly talk about 2 particularly effective methods (in Steps 3 and 4 below) that have worked for a long time, work in ANY niche and will continue to work YEAR AFTER YEAR!
Step Number 3. Email marketing.
In my opinion probably the most effective way of driving traffic towards your sales page is to email them (remember, you now have their email address).
So I would recommend that you construct a 7 to 15 part email series for each product you are promoting, as studies show that on average, people tend to buy from the 7th point of contact. (Watch this for much more detail)
Step Number 4. Social media/PPC ads
Alongside your email marketing, you can create a social media advertising campaign using Facebook, as well as a PPC campaign, using Google AdWords and/or
Bing ads.
The Facebook ads can be seen on the right hand side of your Facebook page, while the AdWords ads can be seen at the top and on the right hand side of any Google or Bing search, in the shaded ‘sponsored’ ads sections.

Step Number 5. Upsells.
For the final step, you need some back-end offers, where you send the prospect immediately after they’ve purchased your front-end product.
These ‘upsells’ should be very relevant to the original offer, and ideally, more expensive. This will allow you to maximise your profits from each prospect and customer.
And that’s it….
A simple 5-step sales funnel that will allow you to collect leads, drive traffic, make sales and finally make money online.
