4 Simple Ways to Improve Your Facebook ads CTR
If your current Facebook ad isn’t performing as well as you’d like, then here are 4 CTR boosting techniques that may help!
1. Be as targeted as possible
The great thing about Facebook advertising is that it allows you to target specific age groups, locations, education levels, sexes, etc.
So you don’t have to waste money putting your ad in front of people who are never really going to click on it.
To give you an example, instead of creating an ad for a dating site and targeting men aged between 21 and 33, for instance, you could instead produce 13 versions of the same ad and target each individual age, and see which age(s) are the most profitable.
2. Avoid banner blindness
Banner blindness is when Facebook users stop noticing your ad, basically because the same demographic has seen it so many times it no longer has the impact it had when it first appeared.
To avoid this, consider swapping out the image with a fresh one, use a border around the ad to help it stand out more, or rewrite the headline.
3. Use pretty people!
Yep, I know. It’s shallow, right? But then so are a lot of your customers! In fact, I’ve found that ads with images of attractive people nearly always outperform those without.
Basically, “pretty” people are more eye-catching, and as a result, the large majority of Facebook users are more likely to click on these ads.
4. Ask Facebook
A lot of Facebook advertisers create ads that don’t stand a chance of converting, because they fail to ask Facebook what works.
Facebook want to help its advertisers as much as possible, because if your ads are making money, they’re making money.
So if you’re not sure about anything, take a look at the ‘help’ links which are on the right hand side of the page when you’re creating the ad itself.
You can get help with choosing your objective, selecting images, editing ads, choosing your audience, creating your campaign, bidding and pricing.
Hope this helps
All the best
